Antonio Castellanos
Welcome to my Website!
I’m Antonio, an Assistant Professor of Operations Research and Operations Management at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Business School, where I am also visiting the Federmann Center for the Study of Rationality.
Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Principal Researcher at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business hosted by Professor Amy R. Ward.
I received my PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences (formely IE&M) at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, advised by Professor Galit B. Yom-Tov, and worked closely with Professor Yair Goldberg. During my time at the Technion I conducted research at the SEElab a worldwide hub for research and teaching in Service Engineering.
Research Interests
Behavior-aware models for service and healthcare operations.
I combine stochastic modeling and machine learning to improve prediction and decision-making under uncertainty.

Service
I organize the BAM (Business Analytics and Marketing) seminar at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Business School. The seminar brings together faculty across data science, operations research and operations management, and marketing.
